PetalGuard
PetalGuard is a fairly simple browser strategy game about reclaiming ground from a corruption which spreads from fixed sources across the field. Your job is to convert it back. Drop ladybugs and the ground around them turns from blight to garden, and wherever your garden covers a corruption source, it wears that source down. Clear every source to win.
You're managing coverage: where to expand, what to hold, and what order to break things in. Ladybugs convert and hold. A bee captures honeycombs to fund you and demolishes structures, but never converts land itself. Honeycombs grow your resources; ladybug caches grow your squad; reaching either means steering the bee there or spreading your garden far enough to touch them.
Includes a hard mode where you don't have the bee.
Comes with a built-in map editor. Build and tune a level, then switch to Play to run it.
Controls:
Click an insect, then click a spot to send it, or click and hold to steer it toward your cursor.
Spacebar switches between commanding the bee and the ladybugs.
P pauses,
F toggles fullscreen.
Mouse and keyboard; not built for touch.
Made for Solo dev Jam #12 — free to play, donations welcome.
